High Quality, Self Catering, Holiday Cottage at Bude in North Cornwall
Are you looking for a disabled-friendly holiday cottage in Cornwall?
The Beach Haven sleeps up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms but out of season, the property is based on a price for 4 people so you get all the space with much less cost! And in the low-season we even have a special offer just for couples. It is just a short, ten-minute stroll to the beach and Bude town centre. Also within a few minutes walk are dog-friendly cafes and pubs.
The Beach Haven is a spacious bungalow with good access throughout the property. There is level access to the front door and we can supply a threshold ramp to aid things further. Although there are no specific disabled facilities (such as a hoist or widened doors etc) we still have a number of regular wheelchair users who get on fine. There are grab handles in the en-suite shower room and the main bathroom and also the front door to help keep you as safe as possible. We don’t, however, have a walk-in wet room, if this is critical for you.
We also supply a number of aids on request to help further. These include:
- Shower stool
- Toilet frame
- Bath board
- Access ramps
- Mobility Scooter hire (inc. delivery and collection)
We have a supplier who will deliver and collect a mobility scooter enabling you to enjoy the lovely, paved path from Crooklets beach into town or the two-mile ride along the old Bude Canal towpath to Helebridge and perhaps treat yourself at The Weir Bistro!

Mobility scooters can be hired locally. Delivered all ready for your arrival and collected on deaprture.
